About
Marcus Morris was a second-team All-Big 12 selection for Kansas in 2011. He played three years of college basketball at Kansas.
He has four brothers, Donte, Blake, David and twin Marcus, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.
Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris’s bond goes even deeper than usual for twin brothers. The duo played together through school, AAU and college before getting drafted one after the other in the 2011 NBA draft. Markieff went 13th to the Phoenix Suns, while Marcus went 14th to the Rockets.
While Morris may not have the skill-set to hit the glass well, he’s still recognized as a versatile defensive weapon. He has the foot speed to hang with bigger 3’s on the perimeter, while his 235-pound frame enables him to hold his own in the post against post players.
Markieff Morris signed a 1 year / $1,750,000 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Markieff has earned nearly $45.2 million during his career.
