JaVale McGee attended the University of Nevada, but left for the NBA after his sophomore year.
JaVale McGee competed in the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, where he finished second to Blake Griffin. He won an NBA Championship as a member of the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018.
He was the first player to use three basketballs at one time in the dunk contest.
